During the Jump Festa 2026 event, TOHO animation officially released a new trailer for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: The Culling Game Part 1. The much-anticipated new season, produced once again by MAPPA, picks up immediately after the devastating “Shibuya Incident” and adapts the manga’s “Itadori’s Extermination” and “Culling Game” arcs. Alongside returning leads, the trailer introduces new characters such as Kinji Hakari, Kirara Hoshi, Hiromi Higuruma, Fumihiko Takaba, Reggie Star and Kogane, expanding the roster of sorcerers and cursed players.
The new opening theme is also revealed, titled “AIZO,” performed by the acclaimed rock band King Gnu. This marks the band’s third contribution to the franchise following their work on Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and the “Shibuya Incident” arc. The trailer previews the song alongside intense action sequences, most notably the high-stakes confrontation between Yuji Itadori and his assigned “executioner,” Yuta Okkotsu.
The first two episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: The Culling Game Part 1 will air as a one-hour special on Janaury 8, 2026, in Japan, as well as on simulcast through Crunchyroll.
