EXPEDITION CLUB Curates an Adventure Through the History of Outdoor Gear
Following activations in Tokyo and London, the club makes its way to New York City.
EXPEDITION CLUB enables explorers to adventure without boundaries, hosting classic outdoor excursions and events that celebrate the world of outdoor gear. The club, inspired by Chief Buyer of BEAMS PLUS Shigeru Kaneko’s OUTDOOR EXHIBITION BOOK 99, was first held in Tokyo and London. Now, the collective will make a splash in New York.
The event will be hosted at Nepenthes in New York, and collaborative merch will be released alongside the club’s NYC debut. Kaneko’s personal collection of BEAMS PLUS will also be on view during the evening, so visitors can explore his personal curation of down parkas and vintage outdoor catalogues from the Outdoor Recreation Archive. These catalogues will be derived from the “world’s foremost outdoor resource room” at the Utah State University Library.
Traditional hiking and exploration gear selected by Monroe garden will be available for purchase, as well as special-edition merch donning the Nepenthes New York logo — including a hoodie, t-shirt, cap and bandana.
