Summary:
- adidas and Arte Antwerp have released a new streetwear collection inspired by North African cultural influence on European football style, following last month’s Lightblaze POD shoe.
- The collection features a Z.N.E. PU leather jacket, knitted jerseys, and graphic tees, all in colors referencing North African flags.
- The campaign was shot in Morocco by Ilyes Griyeb and features Brahim Díaz.
Last month, adidas and Arte Antwerp collaborated on the all-white Lightblaze POD shoe. Now, the pair has teamed up again to unveil a full streetwear collection inspired by the influence North African culture has had on European football style.
Fittingly, the collection is a balanced blend of “Reds”, “Greens”, “Whites”, and “Blacks” – nodding to the flag colors of North African countries. It offers key streetwear silhouettes like tracksuits, relaxed tees, and long-sleeve jerseys, all elevated with Arte’s premium design codes.
Standout pieces include the Z.N.E. PU leather jacket, knitted long-sleeve jerseys, graphic T-shirts with an Arabic text overlay on the back – translating to “Sport Unites Africa” – the ADIDAS Z.N.E. tracksuits, and the new Lightblaze POD ZIP in black.
Another highlight of the collaboration is the accompanying campaign. Shot by photographer Ilyes Griyeb and featuring footballer Brahim Díaz, the warm visuals capture people in raw Moroccan landscapes, highlighting the true places and communities where football culture thrives in the African diaspora.
Speaking about the adidas x Arte capsule collection, Bertony Da Silva, Arte Founder & Creative Director, said: “This first capsule with adidas is inspired by the raw energy of African football culture, a world defined by community, expression and resilience. The pieces reflect the cultural energy that surrounds the game and the people who give it meaning. Our new campaign is built with and by local voices in Morocco. From the photographer to casting director, models to set team, every still and scene is rooted in collaboration.”
The adidas x Arte capsule collection is out now on adidas’s website.
