AAPE Commemorates UAE National Day in Exclusive Collection
With signature logos undergoing a one-off Arabic-inspired makeover.
AAPE – the sister brand of *A BATHING APE® – has dropped a new collection of limited-edition T-shirts and hoodies in celebration of UAE National Day.
The exclusive range comes just a few weeks after the launch of its collaborations with Chibi Maruko-Chan and NOMANUAL®, both of which coincided with two new store openings in Asia. Geared towards a global audience, the new collection looks to spotlight Emirati culture through inspired graphics and typography.
Taking a closer look, classic black and white hoodies adopt AAPE’s iconic MOONFACE logo in a luxurious gold foil effect, complemented by red and green Arabic calligraphy on the hoods. Similarly, a series of long and short sleeved T-shirts incorporate the metallic logo on the chest, sitting alongside the brand’s slogan in Arabic writing. As well as dropping a line-up of garments, the collection also features a matching white cap.
Ahead of the launch, the brand recently held a special event at Concrete in Dubai’s creative district of Alserkal Avenue. Joining locals to celebrate UAE National Day, it brought regional food, music and fashion to the space including performances from Tayeb Santo, 1Takenando and Chndy.
