Stone Island and New Balance Release the New Furon V8 and Football Kit

Last week, Hypebeast unveiled the latest football boot design from Stone Island & New Balance – the Furon V8 boot. Today, along with the launch of the boot, Stone Island & New Balance have also dropped a new full kit design.
The kit appears as a seamless extension of the Furon V8, both aesthetically and technically. Each piece has a similar tonal “Olive” hue, with branding cleverly integrated. For instance, there is a raised Stone Island Compass crest and ‘NB’ logo on the jersey and shorts, as well as embroidered logos on the socks.
In keeping with both brands’ material expertise, the jersey has been crafted in a polyester jacquard with engineered mesh zones, and finished with bonded seams and tape-reinforced cover stitching. Additionally, reflective accents appear across the jersey and shorts – Another design choice in keeping with the boot.
The campaign images are also a major standout of the drop. It was shot on a football pitch in London, filmed by Blackwall and photographed by Dexter Navy, and features none other than Bukayo Saka and Dave.
Saka has been a key face of New Balance’s football franchise since signing a multi-year sponsorship deal with the brand in 2021, and Dave is an active part of the Stone Island community as well as a collaborator – recently partnering with the brand on a special project for his new ‘The Boy Who Played the Harp’ album release.
In this way, this collaboration is a showcase of supreme football products as well as a creative fusion of football culture with intersecting creative disciplines.
