A massive three-way partnership has formed as BAPE® and Spotify unveil their exclusive capsule collection, creatively directed by UK rap sensation Central Cee through his brand, SYNA. This collaboration represents a new chapter for Spotify’s commitment to artists, using BAPE® product as the ultimate canvas for Cench’s design vision.
The collection draws heavy inspiration from the iconic purple BAPE® hoodie, a piece that became a pivotal reference point in hip-hop fashion. That rich purple color story runs through key designs, notably a puffer jacket that directly references a BAPE® colorway Central Cee has long admired. Other highlights include a football jersey—an instant classic—and a “Synning BAPE” graphic tee that boldly reinterprets BAPE®’s recognizable designs through the SYNA aesthetic.
With music at the core of the process, every garment connects to a specific song idea that shaped its mood and details. Select labels even feature discreet links, allowing fans to access a Central Cee-curated playlist on Spotify. The collection also includes unique BABY MILO® graphics, capturing the essence of London youth culture. Central Cee stated, “I felt confident I could creative direct this three way collab between BAPE® x SPOTIFY x SYNA. I’m looking forward to seeing people out in the world wearing the pieces.”
The collection drops globally on November 25 at select BAPE STORE® locations and online, and SYNA’s online store.
