Julian Klausner Expands His Dries Van Noten Universe for SS26
The Antwerp-born designer presented his sophmore collection inspired by crashing ocean waves.
Antwerp-born designer Julian Klausner continues to impress with his sophomore outing at Dries Van Noten. After making waves with his debut just last season, Klausner expands his vision for Spring/Summer 2026 with a bold, dynamic collection unveiled on the second afternoon of Paris Fashion Week.
Guests spilled into the Palais de Tokyo to the sound of crashing waves, the swell building as the show drew near. Bold womenswear led the charge for SS26, opening with an embellished cream car coat styled against glossy red sneakers — a striking balance of refinement and ease. Klausner distilled the mood into what he calls a feeling of “ease and optimism,” inspired by languid beach escapes. “Watching the sunset on the beach, observing surfers in the waves, I was struck by how elegant the silhouette of a wetsuit is,” the show notes read.
An aquatic spirit rippled through the runway as ruffled jersey dresses cascaded after dazzling bomber jackets, poplin tops, and sheer gowns. Dries Van Noten’s signature prints erupted across the collection — sprawling over robust outerwear, illusion cover-ups, and fluid striped robes. Geometric patterns collided on two-piece co-ords, while sequined stripes, spheres, and swirls found harmony in chaos.
