Willy Chavarria and adidas Originals Launch Lowrider Pop-Up Ahead of Paris Debut
A vintage Chevy Impala will roam the streets of Paris to give away limited-edition merch.
On Friday, January 24, Willy Chavarria will debut his highly-anticipated FW25 collection at Paris Men’s Fashion Week. To further introduce himself to the French capital, the California-born designer has teamed up with his collaborators at adidas Originals to bring Chavarria’s world off the runway and into the Parisian streets.
In the spirit of the designer’s West Coast Chicano heritage, Chavarria and adidas are sending out an exclusive capsule of merch in a vintage lowrider Chevy Impala to be distributed across secret locations in the city.
The collection includes navy short and long-sleeve tees, with puff-printed cobranding and three-stripe appliques on the sleeves. adidas’s stripes are also applied to a navy zip hoodie and gray sweatpants, featuring doubled adidas emblems and a sans-serif Chavarria logo on the bottoms. Across all the pieces, the Paris show is commemorated with call-outs to the city, and the rose, which has become synonymous with Chavarria’s lexicon, is used as a central motif.
The pop-up will also offer new adidas Originals x Willy Chavarria footwear styles including the Jabbar Low, featuring a foldover tongue in two colorways, and the Jabbar Dress, which boasts animal print pony hair accents.
Once the giveaway terminates at the show venue, tickets will be distributed from the car to grant digital access to an adidas CONFIRMED page where the collection will be available for in-store pickup. Purchases can be picked up from the adidas Originals Paris flagship store, where the designer will make a special appearance on Saturday, January 25 from 1 pm to 2 pm CET.
