Jason Day Asked to Cover Logo at the Farmers Insurance Open
Day removed his Malbon Golf jacket before the start of the third round.

Jason Day’s choice of attire is once again in the spotlight. Hypegolf has learned that the Malbon Golf ambassador was asked to cover up the logo on his windbreaker jacket before the start of the third round at the PGA TOUR‘s Farmers Insurance Open. The photos below were obtained from a fan onsite.

Day, who was involved in a similar controversy last season at the Masters Tournament, opted to remove the pictured jacket and play his third round in the short sleeve polo which he wore underneath. He went on to shoot a 2-under-par round of 70 and is currently playing his final round.
Although the motive for the request remains unclear, tournament officials may have been prompted by the sweatsuit which Day wore during Wednesday’s first round.
The PGA TOUR has yet to respond to our request for comment.
