10 new releases for your weekend.

As the week in music comes to a close, Hypebeast has rounded up the best projects for the latest installment of Best New Tracks.
This week’s lineup is led by anticipated long-form coming from The Weeknd, Madlib x MF DOOM, MIKE and FearDorian and a stacked lineup of collaborative singles from JENNIE x Dominic Fike, Latto x Playboi Carti, 2hollis x nate sub, Will Smith x Big Sean x OBanga and The Alchemist x Larry June x 2 Chainz as well as a solo two-pack from Lancey Foux.
The Weeknd – Hurry Up Tomorrow
The Weeknd’s sixth studio album has landed at last. Hurry Up Tomorrow marks the final album in his trilogy of 2020’s After Hours and 2022’s Dawn FM. The album sees features from Anita and Playboi Carti on “São Paulo” and “Timeless,” respectively – two of the three pre-release singles along with “Dancing in the Flames.” While the musician handles most of the production himself, Pharrell and Mike Dean contribute, among others. Revealed by way of a lengthy, multifaceted rollout, the album is also set to feature an accompanying psychological thriller film.
Latto x Playboi Carti – ”Blick Sum” (Remix)
When Playboi Carti shared photos of him and Latto on Instagram, fans could only hope it was for the anticipated “Blick Sum” remix. Two days later, we got the “Blick Sum” remix. One of the highlights of Latto’s most recent LP Sugar Honey Iced Tea, the song’s remixed edition hears a deep-voiced Carti contribute a second verse in place of Latto’s typical one. Well received by fans of both rappers, the “Blick Sum (Remix)” also comes with a cinematic music video directed by Hidji World and Gunner Stahl.
Madlib x MF DOOM – Madvillainy Demos
After MF DOOM and Madlib’s Madvillainy album celebrated its 20th anniversary back in October with its first-ever vinyl release after an initial release on tape in 2008 as part of a box set. Original mastering engineer Dave Cooley returns to master the demos. “In 2002, before @madlib and @mfdoom finished Madvillainy, the first demo sequence of the album leaked online – early vocal cuts from DOOM, recorded then quickly mixed in LA at Madlib’s Bomb Shelter studio,” Stones Throw wrote in a statement in October. “The leak spread around the world, and while the tracks may have been unfinished, it was clear that this was a hip-hop album unlike any other…” It’s finally out on DSPs everywhere.
JENNIE x Dominic Fike – ”Love Hangover”
After linking up at the YSL Men’s Winter 2025 Paris Fashion Week show, JENNIE and Dominic Fike’s “Love Hangover” is here. The duo shared a handful of photos from the show earlier this week and shortly thereafter announced the now-out single. JENNIE’s Ruby will drop on March 7 and will boast tracks with Childish Gambino, Doechii, Dua Lipa, FKJ and Kali Uchis.
2hollis x nate sub – “afraid”
Marking his third single since the release of his boy album in the summer of 2024, 2hollis has dropped off “afraid” with assistance from his current tourmate nate sub. A classic 2hollis cut, the enigmatic emerging musician produced the three-minute single himself. “afraid” is the first release from 2hollis of 2025 and the first time he and sub have linked up on a studio track.
Will Smith x Ben Sean – “BEAUTIFUL SCARS”
On Thursday, Will Smith announced his first new album in over 20 years – Based On A True Story, which is due out this March. Along with the announcement, the multifaceted artist dropped new single “BEAUTIFUL SCARS” featuring Big Sean. The album will also feature Smith’s recently released singles “You Can Make It” with Fridayy, “WORK OF ART” with Russ and Jaden and “TANTRUM” with Joyner Lucas. The music video for “BEAUTIFUL SCARS” is a play on The Matrix, with Sean offering Smith the Blue Pill and Red Pill ultimatum – to which he takes both.
Lancey Foux – “Enter The Dragon” / “TEKTIME”
UK rapper Lancey Foux has unveiled a new two-pack with songs “Enter The Dragon” and “TEKTIME.” The pairing – equipped with production from BNYX – arrives as Foux’s first solo release since linking up with fellow UK rappers Fimiguerrero and Len for a joint album CONGLOMERATE in 2024.
MIKE – Showbiz!
MIKE’s Showbiz! Sees the NYC-based rapper reflecting on all of the past versions of himself and envisioning who he wants to be in the future. An authentic and expansive studio offering, Showbiz! is equipped with features from 454 and duendita and a lineup of guest producers. Singles “Pieces Of A Dream,” “You’re The Only One Watching” and “Bear Trap” all land on the tracklist.
The Alchemist x Larry June x 2 Chainz – “I Been”
The Alchemist, Larry June and 2 Chainz proved they were a top-tier trio just last week when they released “Bad Choices.” The group is back once again this week with another joint single entitled “I Been” – and news of a full-length collaborative LP. Details remain mostly under wraps – aside from a slate of song snippets that live exclusively on Instagram – Life Is Beautiful is expected to arrive on February 7.
FearDorian – Leaving Home
18-year-old artist and producer FearDorian has just shared his sophomore album Leaving Home. A coming-of-age story that explores his first time away from home, the LP is self-produced, written, and recorded by FearDorian and boasts features from Polo Perks, RiTchie, quinn and Klein.
