A'ja Wilson's Nike MVP T-Shirt Makes a Statement
The Las Vegas Aces star has been crowned WNBA’s MVP for the third time.
A’ja Wilson is a certified star, earning her third WNBA MVP title very recently. To celebrate her success and major feat, Nike is releasing a special MVP t-shirt to mark the occasion.
The Las Vegas Aces star was unanimously voted as the 2024 WNBA Most Valuable Player, receiving 67 first-place votes from the panel of sportswriters and broadcasters. This is the first unanimous winner of the award since the WNBA’s inaugural season in 1997. Previously, Wilson won the award in 2020 and 2022. She has now tied the record of Sheryl Swoopes, Lisa Leslie and Lauren Jackson as players who have won the MVP award the most times. The 28-year-old Aces center currently averages 26.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, 2.58 blocked shots and 1.79 steals across 38 games. Throughout her career, Wilson became the first player to lead the WNBA in total points, rebounds and blocks in a season and also broke the single-season records for both scoring and rebounding. Wilson and her team are currently in the post-season, aiming for a historic three=peat WNBA champion title.
Wilson’s Nike MVP t-shirt arrives in black and features an image of the star’s face on the front, with her grillz front and center. This comes from a viral photo of Wilson on the 2024 All-Star Weekend red carpet. Wilson’s signature star logo is also seen on the front next to the Swoosh. Nike has listed all of Wilson’s WNBA accolades on the back, including her WNBA Rookie of the Year award and the six times she was named WNBA All-Star. Nike is slated to release the MVP t-shirt soon online.
