KidSuper's Signature Kissing Face Is Now a Lovesac Accent Chair
Marking designer Colm Dillane’s first official foray into the furniture domain.
The KidSuper “Kissing” print is undoubtedly designer Colm Dillane‘s most recognizable design. The graphic, which artfully depicts two faces interlocking in a kiss, has graced multi-dimensional puffer jackets and kaleidoscopic handbags in all sizes — but now, the hero illustration is taking over its biggest canvas yet: a Lovesac Accent Chair.
As part of the “Get Comfy With KidSuper” collection, which also includes a “Kissing” Squattoman, throw pillow, blanket and sweater, the PillowSac Accent Chair is a fashionphile’s ultimate home statement. Building on the duo’s inaugural blue camo MovieSac collaboration earlier this year, this latest piece of furniture is covered in Dillane’s classic print, finished with identical, puffed-up segments to the designer’s coats.
On set for the collaboration’s campaign, which arrives as a ’90s-style sitcom commercial, Dillane told Hypebeast, “We’ve done so many things over the last several years, and furniture really felt like the natural next step.”
“We worked really hard to make [the chair] puffy enough to emulate the famous KidSuper jacket,” he added. “It can be used as a chair, a bed, and anything in-between. I have seen grown men come to the store, lie down on it for a minute and fall asleep.”
“Letting [Colm] take our new PillowSac Accent Chair and stretch the limits of what’s possible was an absolute no-brainer,” said Lovesac CEO Shawn Nelson. “The outcome? It’s something truly unique—unlike anything we’ve ever done.”
