Eminem Announces 'The Death of Slim Shady' Expanded Mourner's Edition
Teasing the addition with a new trailer.
Eminem has another surprise release in store for his fans, coinciding with the Friday the 13th this month. The rapper has taken to social media to announce The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) Expanded Mourner’s Edition.
He announced the new expanded edition in a clip that shows Eminem walking into a convenience store, grabbing a carton of milk out of the fridge only to drop it on the ground. On the side of the milk carton reveals a missing ad for his Slim Shady alter ego. Eminem leaves the store and producer Alchemist hops out from behind the store counter and tells him to never return.
This album marks the end of Eminem’s Slim Shady chapter. The Death of Slim Shady has been presented as a concept album for Eminem to say goodbye to his alter ego, giving the crass character one final hurrah. The album was released in the July and with it singles “Houdini” and “Tobey” featuring Big Sean and Babytron as well as “Somebody Save Me” featuring Jelly Roll were amongst his biggest hits.
