Chet Lo SS25 Pays Tribute to Unstoppable Female Figures
Celebrating his mother, Mai-Wah Cheung, and her story of strength and adaptability in computer science, digital media, art, and education.

Asian-American designer Chet Lo is helming a revolution, continuing to grow his spiked knitwear army with sensuality. Since graduating from Lulu Kennedy‘s Fashion East, Chet Lo has established himself firmly on the London Fashion Week schedule, presenting his Spring/Summer 2025 collection on the first day with a heartfelt tribute to unstoppable female figures.
While Qin Shi Huang’s Terracotta Army stimulated last season, SS25 sees Chet Lo in a softer light by honoring his mother, Mai-Wah Cheung. As a disruptive force in computer science, digital media, art, and education, Mai-Wah Cheung’s story of strength and adaptability summons the collection with sentimental notes.
Titled “Mai’s Blossoms,” his mother is reflected across 31 looks, reinterpreting her structural office wardrobe in Lo’s signature spikes while integrating soft draping techniques expressing faint fluidity. The collection begins with a mirage of sheer organza dresses featuring digitalized “glitch” patterns motivated by her reign in technology.
Textured knitwear comes alive in blending black and blue, while contemporary corporate attire is reimagined with asymmetrical skirts and translucent knee panels. Elsewhere, cloaked mini dresses boast uneven head coverings pulled to one side, followed by sharpened evening attire, manipulated pleated trousers, and zippered onesies with knotted belts. Finally, Cheung’s current artistic motivations complete the collection with delicate fruit ornamentations, seeing Chet Lo take his final bow hand-in-hand with Mai-Wah Cheung.
