Casablanca SS25 Goes Full Speed Toward Après-Sport
On a runway full of eclectic vintage cars, designer Charaf Tajer presented a flamboyant collection inspired by the Mexican-American Los Angelenos Lowriders.

Closing out the fourth day of Paris Fashion Week, Casablanca revved its engines for the French capital’s showgoers with a flashy auto-inspired show that flaunted its signature après-sport aesthetic for Spring 2025.
“The collection reflects Los Angeles and all of its many subcultures that have always fascinated me,” designer Charaf Tajer told Hypebeast at the show. With the world of auto heads on his list, Tajer lined the runway with four vividly modified cars. He pointed to the orange 1984 Buick at the top of the catwalk, calling it his favorite in the mix. “That was actually my first car,” he revealed. Now that’s a full-circle moment.
But the cars represented more than just an adolescent memory; each was a one-off work of art, deliberately painted and custom-upholstered to celebrate the Mexican-American Los Angelenos Lowriders, a community that Tajer discovered many parallels with his own Moroccan-French working-class upbringing.
On the runway, models like Lucky Blue Smith and Alton Mason swerved around the neon vehicles, wearing Tajer’s latest tennis-inspired garments in all sorts of eye-glueing hues and textiles — all of which were just as expressive as their low-riding mood board. Glittering denim met classic kaleidoscopic shirting, while jersey-inspired tops and surfing gear were hunting for their next adventure. Overall, Casablanca went full speed toward what it knows best: making a bright, bold statement.
