Daniel Lee‘s tenure at Burberry has seen him redefine the British fashion House with sophisticated elegance. From introducing new signature hues to showcasing his limitless vision with upgraded staples, Lee shows no signs of slowing down. For Summer 2025, Lee surprised us by bringing out his wild side, fleeing from Burberry’s previous show venue in Victoria Park to ignite new storylines at London’s National Theatre.

Burberry continues to show its commitment to UK artists this season, collaborating with Gary Hume to bring its runway to life. Inspired by his 1990 art installation Bays, the space was consumed by green cutout fabrics emulating modernist hospital doors.

The Summer 2025 collection saw classics evolve under a sophisticated spotlight, wishing to emit a sense of freedom and acquaintanceship through long-lived icons. Reconstructed lightness was key across the collection, slashing buckled trench coats at the waist in soft grays. Formal utility arrived on paneled dresses with militaristic underpinnings, while enlarged fur trimmings lined additional outerwear primed for London’s brisk weather. Volimunious ponchos blew against the wind paired with tailored pleated trousers, complemented by checkered uniforms and nautical gear accessorized with striped scarves and new Country crossbody bags.

Shimmering gowns glistened at every step, layered with monstrous parkas to brace against the cold in style. Knotted tops were wrapped in pale purple, while blurred patterns saw Lee introduce rare graphics reflecting Hume’s abstract paintings. Cargo gear came ready for battle with strapped chest pockets, completing the collection with mesh polos, embroidered academic blazers, and printed belts inserting casual touches.
