Bruce Lee Appears as a Custom Avatar in Forthcoming ‘Project Kyzen’ Game
The highly-anticipated open-world title launches in beta next week.
The highly-anticipated video game Project Kyzen will pay homage to Bruce Lee when it launches next week. Developed in partnership with the media company Impact Theory, the open-world title allows players to control avatars as they explore – and fight in – different “mini battle arenas.”
While the game’s premise is vague, Project Kyzen is underlined by the concept that “everything is code and code can be reprogrammed.” Players themselves design the worlds that make up the game.
Bruce Lee will be among the playable in-game avatars as a part of a partnership with the Bruce Lee Family Company, which manages the late martial artist’s likeness and estate.
Pairing with the custom avatar, a young version of Lee, is a variety of skins and accessories that can be purchased or unlocked to further customize the digital character.
“Bruce Lee’s Tao of Jeet Kune Do changed my life when I was young and put me on the path to developing the mindset that’s allowed me to achieve hyper-success,” Impact Theory CEO Tom Bilyeu said. “Integrating Bruce’s timeless wisdom and iconic persona into Project Kyzen is a dream come true. He inspired our mission to empower gamers worldwide, and we’re beyond excited to bring Bruce Lee into the game. It allows players the chance to embody his greatness and engage with his teachings in a dynamic and immersive way.”
Project Kyzen launches in beta on August 22.
