Pharrell's JOOPITER x G-Dragon Auction Lots To Be Publicly Exhibited at Daelim Museum

Update: All the lots from the JOOPITER x G-Dragon auction are set to be exhibited at the Daelim Museum in Seoul from September 5 to September 7. The special exhibit will showcase the likes of the multi-hyphenate’s clothing, collected art pieces, rare sneakers and accessories, jewelry, furniture, musical instruments and even a set of his in-ear monitors.

In celebration of the exhibit, JOOPITER also teamed up with G-Dragon’s PEACEMINUSONE and Dongjoon Lim and Sookyo Jeong’s POST ARCHIVE FACTION (PAF) for a series of limited edition capsule collections. The PEACEMINUSONE collab is comprised of T-shirts, hoodies, caps and accessories all bearing co-branded designs, while the PAF range features pearl-stitched caps, a T-shirt, a special engraved watch limited to 100 pieces and additional accessories.

Ticket reservations for the JOOPITER x G-Dragon auction exhibit can be made via the official Daelim Museum website, and both capsule collections will be available to purchase at the Daelim Museum gift shop. Original Story: Pharrell‘s JOOPITER auction house has officially announced its forthcoming sale with K-Pop icon, G-Dragon. Titled, “Nothing But A ‘G’ Thang: The Art & Archive of G-Dragon,” the South Korean multi-hyphenate, often hailed as the “King of K-Pop,” is celebrating his legacy as a cultural trailblazer by opening up his vast archives of rare fashion collectibles, contemporary art, design objects and memorabilia to his fans.

The pieces have all been collected throughout G-Dragon’s illustrious career and acts as a modern commentary on his impact on the world of fashion, music and art. The sale will also include the artist’s own artworks alongside personally customized ones for the auction including a pair of custom Off-White x Air Jordan 1s, a Chanel belt and more. In a statement from founder Pharrell, he said, “I am humbled to call G-Dragon a friend, one who continually inspires me with the infinite creativity he brings to music, fashion, art and design. We are honored that he has opened his archive to JOOPITER and we are excited to bring the world together to celebrate the many facets of his incredible talent.”

In his own statement, G-Dragon shares, “As an artist I have a deep desire to always evolve and learn from other legendary creators, which is how I developed an interest in art, design and collecting. JOOPITER and G-Dragon are launching the sale in tandem with Frieze Seoul. Pharrell will launch the auction with G-Dragon in Seoul on Paradise Art Night on September 2 before the auction lots will be on display on September 5 to 7 at the Daelim Museum in Seoul. The auction will be open for bidding online at JOOPITER between September 2 to 10.
