LEGO and Nike are officially joining forces.

On Thursday morning, the leading toy company and the world’s largest sportswear brand announced a multi-year partnership that will include a “series of co-branded products, content, and experiences,” per a release. The collaboration intends to “inspire, engage and empower kids around the world,” so it’s safe to assume that much of the duo’s forthcoming launches will be catered toward a younger demographic.

“We are excited to partner with Nike on this journey and help reimagine how creative play and sport can unite,” Alero Akuya, vice president of brand development at LEGO, said in a statement. “Together, we will create unique experiences that will engage and excite kids around the world, inspiring them to explore their imaginations.”

“At Nike, we believe in the power of sport to move the world forward, and that starts with kids,” Cal Dowers, vice president, Global Kids at Nike, added. “Together, with the LEGO Group, we’re excited to invite all kids into a new vision of sport and creative play.”

How exactly the collaboration will manifest is still unknown, though it’s likely that the kid-friendly LEGO kits will be designed for beginners. Perhaps, more complex builds, like the Air Jordan replicas that many LEGO masters have submitted on the brand’s Ideas website, will come in due time. Either way, the companies have promised that they’ll be dropping their first products in 2025. So stay tuned.
