Pras Allegedly Disses Ms. Lauryn Hill on Unreleased Track "Bar Mitzfa"
With many speculating that it could be due to the recent cancellation of The Fugees’ US tour.
A diss track that allegedly comes from Pras Michél hears him throw blame at Ms. Lauryn Hill over the cancellation of The Fugees‘ tour dates.
Entitled “Bar Mitzfa,” the song was obtained by AllHipHop and supposedly features a few bars aimed at Hill over their musical work together. “Don’t blame me, blame her/She made the mess/Not another f*ckin’ penny, what I told ‘Clef,” Pras raps on the track, leading many to believe that he and Hill are not on good terms and that he has spoken about the issue with fellow Fugees member Wyclef Jean.
While none of the members have directly addressed the song, Pras did throw a subtle public jab at Hill when news of the tour’s cancellation made its rounds. “I saved her reputation for 20 years by not telling my side of the story but oops … cat’s out the bag,” he told TMZ Hip Hop.
Hill released a statement on the cancellation of the tour’s US leg and blamed unnamed media outlets for “[creating] a narrative that has affected ticket sales for the North American portion of the tour.” She did, however, confirm that they will still push through with their UK and Europe tour dates that are scheduled this October.
