'Ted Lasso' Season 4 Has Been Confirmed
With the main cast returning to the Apple TV+ show.
Apple TV+‘s Ted Lasso is officially greenlit for a fourth season. Variety has confirmed the news that Warner Bros. Television has picked up the the show for season four, featuring original cast members including Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein and Jeremy Swift. Sudeikis is said to be involved with the revival as an executive producer.
Originally developed by Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Hunt and Joe Kelly, the show is based on the current format and characters from NBC Sports. The hugely popular fourth season of the Apple TV+ comedy saw Warner Bros. TV pick up on the options of the show’s three main characters, securing their contracts. The studio is expected to other cast members with SAG-AFTRA contracts that have options that are expiring. It is unclear who the full cast will be, but the newest season is eyeing an early 2025 star on production.
In the past, Ted Lasso earned 13 Emmys in its original three season run with two back-to-back wins for Outstanding Comedy Series and acting wins for Sudeikis and Goldstein. Season three finale was in May 2023 and saw Keeley and Rebecca looking to partner on a new venture in AFC Richmond Women’s Team. Stay tuned for more information on the show.
