A$AP Rocky Speaks on Drake Beef, "I Got Bigger Fish To Fry"
Letting the world know he is not interested in this “little kitty shit.”
A$AP Rocky is setting the record straight when it comes to any beef with anybody. The Harlem rapper recently spoke to Billboard ahead of his upcoming album Don’t Be Dumb and he’s making it clear that he is not interested in waging any lyrical war with Drake. The two rappers have long been pitted against one another, but Rocky is putting an end to the beef, insisting that his problems with Drake are not worth histime.
Telling Billboard, Rocky said, “You got to realize, certain n****s was throwing shots for years. I ain’t in the middle of that shit. That’s not how I retaliate right now. I got bigger fish to fry than some pussy boys. It is real beef outside. It is real. N****s getting really clipped and blitzed every day. N****s sniping n****s every day. That little kitty shit ain’t about nothing.” His comments come just a year after Drake allegedly dissed Rocky in his “Fear of Heights” track on his For All The Dogs album. He rapped, “”I had way badder bitches than you, TBH Yeah, That man, he still with you, he can’t leave you/ Y’all go on vacation, I bet it’s Antilles.” Later, fans picked up that Rocky’s verse on Kid Cudi‘s “Wow” where he referenced “mandrake” as a medicinal plant was a hit back at Drake. Rocky sang, “”My boo got the Glizzy, keep the receipt if it’s beef. Cheffin’ mans, Boyardee, with the latest Goyard/ Me and my vamp bae got our own handshake/ These n****s can’t stomach me, gotta go get a mandrake.” Rocky also appeared on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Show of Hands,” where fans suspected that he was talking about Drake’s baby mama. Drake then seemingly fired back on his “Family Matters” track and Rocky then came in with “Highjack” from Don’t Be Dumb where he rapped, “These n****s want my wife bad, the people want my next track. The coppers want my black ass, fucked up, but it’s like that.”
As of now, his upcoming album Don’t Be Dumb has been pushed back to the fall. Stay tuned for more information.
