Inside Out 2 is become the highest-grossing film of the year, surpassing Dune: Part Two at the global box office with $724 million USD. In North America, they garnered $355 million USD, adding to the record breaking number. At this rate, the Disney and Pixar animation is on track to crossing $1 billion USD worldwide.
The sequel collected $164.4 million USD around the world earning $369.2 million USD overseas to be this year’s third-biggest international release behind Godzilla x Kong and Dune: Part Two. The PG-rated film cost $200 million USD to make but have won the hearts of critics and audiences alike. A popular film for IMAX, it grossed $32.2 million USD globally to become the fourth-highest grossing animated title ever for IMAX. The cast features newcomers Maya Hawke, Ayo Edebiri, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Liza Lapira and Tony Hale. The film is now out in theaters globally.
