Andrew Garfield has been cast to star opposite of Julia Roberts in the upcoming Luca Guadagnino thriller, After the Hunt.

Taking place in the world of academia, the script is penned by Nora Garrett and focuses on a college professor who has her own dark past to deal with. When a prominent student begins to make accusations against one of her colleagues, she is forced to confront her past. Roberts is slated to play the professor. The official logline reads that she “finds herself at a personal and professional crossroads when a star pupil levels an accusation against one of her colleagues.” As she tries to find her way out of the situation, “a dark secret from her own past threatens to come to light.”

Guadagnino reunites with Amazon MGM Studios to begin producing the film later this summer. Guadagnino has had great success recently, upon releasing the Zendaya-led tennis film Challengers. Imagine’s Allan Mandelbaum and Brian Grazer also serves as producers on the show. Stay tuned for more information.
