Yaya Bey Is a 'Smooth Assassin' in "me and all my n***as" Visual
The fifth single from her imminent ‘Ten Fold’ LP draws inspiration from her father Grand Daddy I.U.’s debut album.
Yaya Bey has released her latest offering from her upcoming Ten Fold project. Entitled “me and all my n***as,” the two-minute track comes accompanied by an enthralling new visual, which pays homage to her father Grand Daddy I.U, and his first album Smooth Assassin.
“This video is an ode to my dad and his style from his first album,” Bey said of the music video in an official release. The late Grand Daddy I.U. also appears on the album, contributing vocals to the project’s ninth track “so fantastic.”
Directed by Chassidy David, Bey choreographed, styled, and conceived the whole video herself, pulling from the aesthetic of Smooth Assassin. Bey spearheaded most of Ten Fold herself, serving as the creative director, co-director, and stylist across all of the project’s visuals.
“me and all my n***as” arrives as the fifth and final single from Ten Fold, which rounds out as a 16-track project. Other previously released tracks include “chasing the bus,” “the evidence,” “crying through my teeth” and, most recently, “sir princess bad b*tch.”
