Jil Sander’s SS24 Campaign Revels in the Present
Shot by Jack Davison.

It does not matter the season or year, Lucie and Luke Meier’s vision of Jil Sander has been forever committed to the execution of unwavering class. Recently, the designers showed their latest collection for the label in Milan Fashion Week, which was a testament to oversized silhouettes, sculptured notes and rounded edges. The label is building on this activity with the release of its new Spring/Summer 2024 campaign.
For the visuals, the couple turns away from the past and future – deciding to focus wholeheartedly on the present. Rightfully so, that’s that’s where its contemporary vision has continued to evolve, so the intention makes sense. But to bring the vision to life, the duo enlisted the help of British artist-photographer Jack Davison to shoot the campaign in Spain’s Canary Islands. The visuals shine a light on the season’s clean and sculptured designs across womenswear and menswear – emphasizing the brand’s elegantly forward-facing vision.
“We are pleased to have Jack Davison interpret our work”, said Lucie and Luke Meier. “His photography is at the same time sharp, soulful, and whimsical; his sense of light, composition, and detail is quite exceptional. He captures moments in the folds of daily life when instinct and form, the visual and the tactile, surface and depth find a balance and an expression. Qualities that we deeply appreciate and that resound with what we do.”
