GX1000 Drops Its Spring 2024 Collection
The San Francisco skate brand’s latest wares include hooded denim jackets, logo-laden anoraks, sherpa vests and more.

San Francisco imprint GX1000 earned the title of “the most fearless crew in skateboarding” for good reason: the squad, composed of both pro and amateur skaters, is known for its high-risk hill tricks and rebellious attitudes that harken back to skating’s subcultural beginnings. The label, founded by skate videographer Ryan Garshell who moved to the Bay Area in 2008, takes its name from the Sony VX1000 camcorder that rose to prominence among skate filmmakers in the ’90s. Today, the brand’s well-established clothing line, one that started as a simple merch run to promote Garshell’s early film projects in the aughts, continues to define GX1000’s countercultural identity.
Garshell, along with his business partner Stephen McClintock, continues to develop GX1000’s fashion identity with skate-ready collections, season after season. For Spring 2024, the label’s offering encompasses utilitarian outerwear, graphic hoodies, statement-making shirts and staple trousers, among several other signature silhouettes.
The standouts include denim hooded jackets, which come in black and blue colorways, as well as logo-laden anoraks and a floral sherpa vest. One hoodie features all-over GX1000 branding, while others don the imprint’s “Sketch” and “Bomb Hill” motifs. A selection of baggy pants arrives in black, brown, blue, khaki and olive washes, while sweat shorts and swim trunks house simple iconography on one leg. T-shirts, finished in myriad neutral hues, don similar graphics to the aforementioned hoodies, and beanies platform GX1000’s OG logos.
