Public Drip Readies Spring Drop of Golf Wear Essentials
21 styles to complement and expand on the brand’s current offerings.

Brooklyn-based golf apparel brand Public Drip spent its first three years releasing small runs of branded merch like hats, headcovers and t-shirts, putting the brand on the map with city-based golfers who prefer wearing alternative labels both on and off the course. But last spring yielded its first cut-and-sew collection, giving people their first real taste of the brand. What that revealed was an appreciation for the menswear roots of classic golf apparel, but an endeavor to modernize it through design and function.
That ethos is best demonstrated by the Public Athlete Polo, a lightweight polo with a contrasting, knitted spread collar and a 4-button placket with a “P” shape that references the brand’s logo. Fans of that garment will be happy to learn that five new tonal colorways of the shirt are being added to the lineup, and the garments will now be constructed with recycled polyester. The other highlight of the spring drop is a new long sleeve rugby shirt made from 100% cotton, a piece that will likely see wear on the golf course and beyond. Last up is a windbreaker, complementing Public Drip’s outerwear offerings with a water resistant ripstop fabric and minimal branding. The rest of the collection includes cotton and corduroy bucket hats.
All 21 styles, as founder Neil Tan explains, are intended to complement and expand on the brand’s wardrobe for the public athlete. “I wanted to add pieces that, whether paired with our legacy knitwear or styled together, helped to round out what we’re offering right now,” he explains. The collection will be available exclusively through Public Drip’s website from February 16, 11AM ET.
