Giuliano and Giordano Calza‘s GCDS sure knows how to have fun, and Fall/Winter 2024 was no different — debuting a dark and moody “Toys for Adults” collection. The duo returned to Milan Fashion Week once again, shining a light on fun-loving displays lost in adulthood. “Why should kids have all the fun? Adults deserve toys, too,” GCDS exclaims, asking its wearers to leave the shackles of maturity behind.

GCDS FW24 is young, wild, and free, bringing temptation into the mix while grounding itself in childhood nostalgia. The collection recalls pivotal adolescent moments, whether watching horror movies with friends, attending prom dressed to the nines, or toying with dolls in an innocent playroom. The first pair of looks were drowned in rebellious purity, debuting all-white sheer ensembles with lively ruffled ornamentation. Oversized suits with blooming roses are ready to party, while tulle veils with sinister energy conceal misshapen gowns.

“Softporn” branded baby tees are complemented by shimmering mini skirts and bearly-there tops, injecting the collection with GCDS’ youthful identity through monogrammed wool coats. Don Mancini’s Chucky returns to life on haunting tops and blood-soaked bottoms, revamping Dracula‘s formal uniform with open-collared blazers and red tights. GCDS revealed an unexpected Hello Kitty collaboration on the runway, seeing the fictional character formed into metal bra cups and floral accessories.
