This week, fashion’s biggest headlines covered a plethora of coveted new drops – in both the high-fashion and streetwear spheres – store openings and the reveal of the imminent Paris Men’s Fashion Week schedule.

New drops came from the likes of Gucci, Supreme, Supreme again and HIDDEN.NY – the latter of the two rooted in the spirit of the holiday season. In addition to HIDDEN.NY’s lineup of holiday collaborations, another collaborative capsule – marking the final of the series – landed from Saint Mxxxxxx and Denim Tears.

On the other hand, a couple of notable new storefronts opened up around the world as well; Babylon opened the doors to its Harajuku and Balenciaga welcomed guests into its newly redone largest flagship store to date.

At the forefront of this weeks fashion news was the unveiling of the Paris Men’s Fashion Week calendar. Beginning on January 21, this year’s lineup sees the likes of Willy Chavarria‘s big PFW debut, the return of Jacquemus and the lack of LOEWE.

Supreme Readies For Winter With Spyder Dropand New Tees

With the cold weather in full effect, Supreme is gearing up for the even chillier days ahead. The imprint kicked off the week with the release of its collaborative capsule with Spyder, featuring a selection of skiwear essentials led by a lineup of technical jackets in colorways of black, white and neon yellow. All jackets come equipped with a removable hood, while other tactical garments include the GORE-TEX-infused knit zip-up collared sweater and the NEW ERA Dog Ear caps.

A few days later, Supreme followed up with its lineup of Winter 2024 T-shirts just in time for the Holiday season. New graphics include a Grinch Tee, a Will-Sheldon-designed graphic, and a handful of new logoed motifs.

Gucci Pre-Fall 2025 Refined the House’s Retro Essence

Gucci looked to return to form in its Pre-Fall 2025 release, striking a gentle balance between the house’s retro aesthetic and a more refined contemporary minimalism. The house leaned into rich jewel tones to elevate its largely monochrome looks and embraced maximalism in textured materials and patterns.

In an Instagram post, Gucci shared that Creative Director Sabato De Sarno “explores the essence of the 1970s, breathing new life into the codes of the House through a rich visual language.”

De Sarno does just that in the collection, with standout looks on both ends of the spectrum including a double-breasted solid taupe suit and shirt paired with a simple green necktie and a a green leather flight jacket embossed with the House’s monogram and finished with a white sherpa collar.

Willy Chavarria’s Debut, Jacquemus’s Return and LOEWE’s Absence Revealed in Paris Men’s Fashion Week Calendar

The most talked-about topic in the fashion world this week was undoubtedly the unveiling of the Paris Men’s Fashion Week Calendar.

In the first week, 68 brands will present their FW25 menswear lines, followed by haute couture presentations starting on January 27 from 28 different houses. Along with usual shows from Pharrell at Louis Vuitton, Kim Jones at Dior Homme, Junya Watanabe and Comme des Garçons, new additions include the Paris debut of Willy Chavarria and the return of Jacquemus to its home city. The men’s schedule will open with a presentation from Japanese label Auralee on January 21 at 4:30 pm CEST and end on the 26th with Peter Copping‘s debut as director at Lanvin.

However, a major absence in the week would be LOEWE. Though fear not, Jonathan Anderson has instead planned to showcase the men’s fall collection alongside his women’s collection come March 2025.

SAINT Mxxxxxx Dropped Final FW24 Collection With Denim Tears Collaboration

As the Fall/Winter 2024 season comes to a close, ©SAINT Mxxxxxx has unleashed its final drop.

At the crux of the penultimate seasonal release is the collaboration with Denim Tears. Under the two brands’ collaborative line “SAINT TEARS,” the duo are dropping a set of new styles, including a tailored suit, necktie and a pair of overalls.

Elsewhere in the release, the label presents more distressed hoodies and denim as well as some sweatpants and crewneck combos.

Balenciaga Opened Largest Store Yet

Balenciaga has officially reopened its Beijing flagship store located in the Taikoo Li Sanlitun complex in China. Marking the brand’s largest store yet, the newly renovated space sits in a four-story building spanning 1,204 square meters.

The store is defined by its “raw architecture” concept, complete with concrete structures staged throughout. Located on Sanlitun Road, the new flagship is slated to sell the brand’s latest ready-to-wear pieces for both men and women, as well as handbags, shoes, jewelry, eyewear and other accessories.

Additionally, the store features an exhibition of eight archival looks from the label’s The Subtleties of a Dialogue show at the Kering headquarters. A private shopping suite is also stationed on the top floor.

HIDDEN.NY Revealed Its “Holiday Store” Drops – Featuring Collabs With and wander, ASICS and SUICOKE

HIDDEN.NY lifted the curtain on its multi-part “Holiday Store” drops, complete with a stacked slate of collaborators. While the compilation of goods does include a concise delivery of in-line merch, what really defines the release is its collaborations with and wander, ASICS and SUICOKE.

SUICOKE offers its insight to the first drop which lands December 20 and takes the form of a co-branded take on the ZAVO-PUFFab sandal. The second drop is a fully in-line range, spanning a diverse assortment of goods ranging from a chess set to a track jacket.

ASICS hops on board to contribute a collaborative take on a yet-to-be-revealed sneaker silhouette. Stay tuned as updates transpire.

Babylon Opened Its Doors in Harajuku, Tokyo – Lee Spielman and Garrett Stevenson Shared More

On December 14, Babylon opened its first retail location in Harajuku, Tokyo. In an exclusive conversation with Hypebeast, the label’s co-founders Lee Spielman and Garrett Stevenson shared more on the milestone.

The newly-opened outpost marks the brand’s third brick-and-mortar store ever, but the very first one outside of the U.S.

“Tokyo and LA have always felt connected to me mostly because I have good friends in both cities working in the same creative spaces,” Spielman told Hypebeast of the new location, slated to house exclusive limited-edition releases – the first of which is a collaboration with VERDY.

“We’ve been drawn to the city ever since we first visited in 2008 to play music. There’s a unique energy here and the way people engage with culture really stands out when compared to other places. Tokyo has a deep respect for the stories behind what brands create, and that’s something we really connect with.”
