FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Unveil Co-Op Spinoff ‘Elden Ring: Nightreign’
Releasing in 2025.
FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have revealed Elden Ring: Nightreign, an innovative cooperative spin-off that reimagines the beloved Elden Ring universe. Announced during The Game Awards 2024, this ambitious project transports players to Limveld, a parallel version of the original game’s Limgrave, offering a fresh perspective on the dark fantasy world.
Unlike its predecessor, Nightreign is a fully cooperative experience designed for up to three players. Players can pick from eight unique characters, each with their own skills and abilities, allowing for different playstyles and strategies. Whether playing solo or with friends, teamwork is key to overcoming randomized enemies and increasing challenges.
The gameplay introduces an innovative three-day cycle that blends roguelike elements with the series’ signature action RPG format. Daytime serves as a preparation phase, allowing players to gather weapons and dismantle enemy camps before night falls. As darkness descends, formidable Nightlords emerge, culminating in a climactic showdown every third day. With eight major bosses to conquer, each session promises unique challenges and rewards.
Scheduled for release in 2025, Elden Ring: Nightreign will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Watch the gameplay trailer above.
