It looks like Conor McGregor‘s anticipated return to the octagon will be postponed once again. Taking to X to share the news, McGregor seems to be looking forward to another fight, accepting a boxing exhibition in India to fight YouTube star turned boxer Logan Paul.

McGregor posted to X in regards to rumors about his bout with Ilia Topuria. He addressed them saying, “The rumors of a bout with topuria are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.” McGregor is a former two-weight UFC champion but he has not fought since he broke his leg during his TKO loss to Dustin Poirier in 2021. He was set to face off against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 earlier this June but McGregor canceled just two weeks before because of an injured foot. In the past, McGregor has only appeared in the professional boxing bout once, in a 2017 fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. that resulted in a TKO defeat in the 10th round. At the time, it was branded as “The Money Fight” and “The Biggest Fight in Combat Sports History.”

Paul has only appeared in four exhibition boxing fights and saw a a him draw with Floyd Mayweather, draw and a defeat to KSI and win against MMA fighter Dillon Danis. He has been spending much of his time in the WWE, winning the U.S. Championship in November 2023. So far, the date has not been set for the McGregor v. Paul fight just yet.
