Born X Raised and Union LA Deliver a Distinguished "Born Gents" Capsule
“Everything with a touch of class.”
After paying homage to its Los Angeles legacy back at November’s 10th annual Sadie Hawkins celebration, Born X Raised is continuing to lean into its home city with another classically Californian collaboration. In collision with fellow SoCal label Union LA, Born X Raised has unveiled its “Born Gents” capsule, which melds the motifs from both brands and honors their long-lasting partnership.
“Chris Gibbs first encountered Finn and Valentino of the Gents of Desire while they were painting a mural on the back of Union, Stussy, and Undefeated in 2005,” the brands wrote in a shared Instagram post. “A few years later, the Gents of Desire hosted a shoe drive at Union to support the East LA Community Youth Center. Born X Raised and Union honor the 20 plus year history of Gents of Desire and the Los Angeles community.”
The collection spans a handful of cut-and-sew pieces with an embroidered varsity jacket leading the range. Patches adorn the entirety of the two-toned jacket, boasting a green wool body complemented by black leather sleeves. Cuffed sleeves sharpen the silhouette with “Everything with a touch of class” written on the back.
