Only NY x WNYC Public Radio Crank Out Celebratory Capsule
In honor of WNYC’s 100th anniversary, the NYC-based imprint explored the station’s archives to inform a new graphic range.

Only NY has an arsenal of hometown homage releases under its belt, finding rich inspiration in the “visually diverse” composition of New York City. With recent deliveries in collaboration with the MTA, New York City Marathon and New York Deli and Grocery, the latest in the label’s lineup of local partnerships is a commemorative capsule crafted alongside WNYC to celebrate the Centennial anniversary of New York City’s public radio station.
“To have the opportunity to collaborate with an organization that we grew up listening to as lifelong New Yorkers makes this Centennial celebration that much sweeter with WNYC,” founders Micah Belamarich and Julian Goldstein conveyed in a statement.
“We are forever grateful to be able to partner with and further tell the stories of such culturally rich institutions here in our city. From WNYC’s rich graphic history and famed logos, we couldn’t be happier with how everything’s turned out. To another 100 years of public radio in NYC.”
The capsule spans a selection of co-branded graphics –both t-shirts and hoodies – that tap into WNYC’s archive of vintage logos and poster designs from its 100 years on the air. Mantras like “Listen and tell your friends to listen” and “The voice of the city” are stamped on each garment, alongside imagery pulled from WNYC’s time as a TV broadcaster with the “Voice of the City” logo and artwork from the station’s Independence Campaign in 1995.
In true NYC form, the capsule also comes complete with a canvas tote bag. Sift through the full Only NY x Public Radio lookbook above and shop the range now at Only NY’s official webstore.
