De Bethune Dedicates the DW5 Al-Amal for Dubai’s Museum of the Future
Engraved with all-over Arabic calligraphic motifs.
De Bethune has revealed a unique Dream Watch 5 to commemorate the unveiling of Mavericks of Time, a new exhibition organized by Ahmed Sediqqi & Sons that has just opened at Dubai’s Museum of the Future (MOTF).
Entitled, DW5 Al-Amal, the timepiece arrives in the usual proportions and specifications of the Dream Watch 5 but features a distinct appearance — the entire case is now embellished with allover engravings that convey all forms of “love” in Arabic calligraphic motifs.
These motifs appear all over the mirror-polished titanium watch case, which comes in its signature statement dimensions: 48mm in width, 48mm in length and a case thickness of 16mm. The jumping-hour aperture appears at the 3 o’clock position, providing readings via the analog minutes indicator on a dragging rotating disc.
Beat at 28,800 vibrations every hour, the DB2144V2 movement is concealed within the timepiece, providing 5 days of power reserve that’s ensured by a self-regulating twin barrel.
As a finishing touch, this one-of-a-kind timekeeper is paired with a black alligator strap, complete with a mirror-polished titanium pin buckle.
