Paris Fashion Week is upon us once again. The international fashion glitterati are preparing to step out in their finest garbs, hoping to see the latest in menswear from industry-leading labels wanting to build on their directorial legacies. The Fall/Winter 2024 season promises to be something special, with dozens of brands showcasing one-of-a-kind collections. Louis Vuitton will kick off on January 16, anticipating Pharrell Williams’ third runway for the French fashion House by mounting intergalactic Kid Cudi status worldwide. Rushemy Botter and Lisi Herrebrugh‘s “Caribbean Couture” will open day two with romantic ensembles that bring playfulness to the occasion.

Givenchy will dispatch its first in-house collection following the departure of its former creative director, Matthew M Williams, who abandoned his four-year stint after failing to push Givenchy under the creative limelight. Rick Owens, Issey Miyake, and AMI will take on their usual scheduled spots, whilst a slew of UK designers representing the best of British talent, including Wales Bonner, Feng Chen Wang, Paul Smith, Kiko Kostadinov, and Jonathan Anderson, will make their return to Parisian soil.

Doublet and GmbH will close Paris Fashion Week Men’s FW24 with gimmicky costumes and futuristic uniforms, bidding farewell to spectators touring additional hotspots in February. Read on to discover what we’re excited to see in Paris this season.

Pharrell Williams’ Third Runway for Louis Vuitton

Pharrell Williams is the moment. The American creative is the reigning king of contemporary menswear, stepping into Virgil Abloh’s shoes following his unexpected passing in 2021. Williams is soaking in his buzzy spotlight with his third runway show at Louis Vuitton after making his debut last summer and, most recently, taking a trip to Hong Kong for Pre-Fall 2024. Williams is closing the first day of Paris Fashion Week with a bang, revealing his Fall/Winter 2024 menswear collection under the Parisian moonlight.

While little is known about the show’s location and concept, it will surely be a spectacular night consumed by global stars. Previous shows have been attended by Kim Kardashian, Beyoncé, JAY-Z, and Rihanna, pledging an unforgettable display packed with streetwear influence that carries Abloh’s expansive legacy.

Givenchy’s Staff-Led Show Without Matthew M Williams

Illinois-born designer Matthew M Williams bid farewell to Givenchy following four years at the Parisian luxury House. His departure in late 2023 came after several Creative Directors abandoned their positions for something new, seeing Williams fail to attract youthful audiences. The label will return to Paris Fashion Week to reveal its first staff-led collection with missing leadership.

Williams presented his final collection for Givenchy during Pre-Fall 2024, analyzing sartorial techniques that continued to evolve his design language. The classic range updated common silhouettes with mixed fabrications and subtle design details, exploring distinct garment treatments that elevate everyday staples.

Wales Bonner’s Athletic Utopia

Grace Wales Bonner is one of the UK’s brightest talents and has seen unequivocal success across in-house collections and collaborative projects. While her adidas partnership has reintroduced the Samba silhouettes to fresh eyes, Wales Bonner is expanding her efforts into Paris Fashion Week for FW24.

Wales Bonner has become a mainstay on the Paris Fashion Week schedule, channeling her British roots into football-inspired collections destined for the pitch. While recently enlisting Ethiopian runners Tamirat Tola and Yomif Kejelcha to expose her Spring/Summer 2024 “Marathon” collection, she will hit the stage on January 17, preparing to score with a plethora of new sportswear offerings.

Doublet’s Whimsical Menswear

Tokyo-based label Doublet is grounded in whimsical futurism, injecting unexpected madness into the Paris Fashion Week calendar. Creative Director Masayuki Ino is fashion’s Mad Hatter, envisioning a playful universe that never fails to amaze its audience. Doublet will close the final day of PFW ahead of GmbH’s inaugural showcase, inviting guests to feast their eyes on its Fall/Winter 2024 collection.

Ino’s creations often walk on fantastic lines that balance real and imaginary realms: his last collection welcomed evil scientists and experimental dolphins speeding on electric hoverboards. Others presented furry friends and voguing mice, bringing monstrous characters to life before our very eyes.

032c’s PFW Debut

Berlin-based label 032c is migrating to larger grounds this season, holding its first runway show at Paris Fashion Week Men’s. Creative Director Maria Koch announced the news in late 2023, sharing a hand-written note packed with excitement. The brand will bring its androgynous creations to the capital’s L’Oratoire du Louvre, dressing the historic Protestant church in edgy details.

032c was founded in 2000 as a hyper-local media platform, publishing in-depth magazines documenting the unique German experience. Its ready-to-wear division is on a mission of “freedom, research, and creativity,” becoming a cultural landmark dissecting art, fashion, and politics bi-annually.
