This week, the fashion industry eased into the new year ranging from a new clothing brand teaser to statewide pop-ups and more. With it being the top of the year, the fashion scene is not in full force yet, but this week is kicking off what may be another big year in the industry.

Elsewhere, Dior teamed up with the Japanese artist, Otani Workshop, for a new monster-filled collaboration alongside the arrival of several new campaigns from a variety of brands.
Below, Hypebeast has rounded up the top fashion stories of the week so you can stay up to date on trends in the industry.
Louis Vuitton Celebrates Pharrell’s First Collection With New York and Hollywood Pop-Up Locations
Louis Vuitton has launched a host of pop-up locations in New York City and Los Angeles in celebration of Pharrell’s first collection at the French luxury house.
Like the SS24 collection, the pop-ups are centered on the theme of Pont Neuf – featuring a Parisian theme adorned with street lamps, architectural molding and checkered floors. The pop-ups also mark the first time the collection will be on sale – featuring an assortment of ready-to-wear items, luggage, leather goods, accessories, trunks and footwear.
The New York City and Los Angeles pop-up locations are now open. The French Maison is set to reveal additional worldwide pop-ups in the coming weeks.
Young Thug Teases New “Act Normal” Clothing Line
Young Thug is expanding his ventures in the fashion landscape with the announcement of his new clothing line “Act Normal.” Earlier this week, the rapper took to Instagram to tease the forthcoming label. “If you support me then…you know the rest,” Young Thug said via his Instagram story with a link to the label’s website.
As of now, the website leaves a lot to wonder about what’s to come from the brand. Currently, it features a black and brown design with a “Coming Soon” title card. The site also reads, “ActNormal Clothing is on its way! We are dedicated to providing you with the best experience and highest-quality garments possible.”
The only other clue about the brand now is its mantra “be the reason the world changes.”
Dior and Japanese Artist Otani Workshop Imagine a Monster-Covered Collaboration
Dior is adding to its collaborative catalog by teaming up with Japanese artist Otani Workshop. Coming into the fold is a lineup of whimsical, monster-covered pieces.
Fueling the collection is a small ceramic green monster named Tanilla that was crafted by the famed contemporary sculptor. Comprising the collection are pieces over bomber jackets, short-sleeve T-shirts, the B33 tennis sneakers and accessories.
Dior’s Otani Workshop collection will arrive in boutiques and on the brand’s website on January 4. Take a closer look at the range in the gallery above.
Campaigns, Campaigns and More Campaigns!
With the start of the new year, there are not too many new collections as brands and large houses gear up for the forthcoming fashion weeks. But in its place has been an onslaught of campaigns.
The new campaigns have stemmed from brands including Fenty Skin, Gucci, Proenza Schouler, Calvin Klein, Prada and more. Across the lot, the campaigns feature names like A$AP Rocky, Ni Ni, Chang Chen, Pamela Anderson, Jeremy Allen White, Troye Sivan and more – ranging from paparazzi-inspired shots to steamy skyscraper shots.
