Strong-Shouldered Partywear Says It All at EGONlab. FW24
Florentin Glémarec and Kevin Nompeix manipulated the human form through cinched waistlines, shrunken suiting, and invisible T-shirts.
Florentin Glémarec and Kevin Nompeix‘s EGONlab. is more than just a brand; it’s an experimental output influenced by punk rock attitudes. The duo has returned to Paris Fashion Week once again, seeing broad shoulders and bold eveningwear packed into an eventful evening delivering asymmetrical menswear for unforgettable escapes.
For Fall/Winter 2024, EGONlab. settled on the dark side with a mirage of daring asymmetrical looks. The underground hallways of Palais de Tokyo were lit with dozens of spotlights roaming in anticipation. Droplets of water echoed across the spacious venue, quickly transitioning into rock ‘n roll tunes crammed with dynamic instrumentals.
EGONlab.’s FW24 collection ignited a kaleidoscope of color, kicking things off with nine all-black looks. Power coats were belted at the waist and adorned with extra-long belts, followed by illusion blazers cinched at the waist to create unusual silhouettes. Patterned drappage clung from golden neck hoops, while grunge governed several pre-distressed outfits. Dirtied denim and oversized cable knits oozed with disobedience, while patent leather coats, shrunken Canadian tuxedos, and invisible tops manipulated the body’s natural form, revealing muscular torsos etched with branded labels.
