Take an Official Look at the Stone Island x New Balance Made in UK 991v2 Collaboration
Taking inspiration from the industrial spaces that serve as venues and clubs.
New Balance’s Made in UK umbrella has just presented its latest collaboration with Stone Island, seeing the pair prep the release of New Balance’s all-new 991v2 silhouette.
Recently, New Balance and Stone Island have unveiled some of the most highly-anticipated footwear collaborations on the market, creating clean-cut designs for NB’s 574 silhouette — which was first teased by UK rap star, Dave — and the FuelCell C_1.
However, the pair’s latest creation appears to be the most understated one yet, with the 991v2 taking on an olive, grey, and black color scheme — a combination of hues inspired by the industrial spaces that served as venues and clubs; from the everyday runways of trains to pubs, and terraces.
Additionally, the sneaker features a mesh upper inspired by latticed metal and is also overlaid with nubuck-coated, texturized leather foxing alongside a slew of reflective accents that place further visual emphasis on the industrial space concept. Customary co-branding rounds off the design, with New Balance’s classic “N” motif applied to the lateral sides, while Stone Island’s Compass logo can be spotted on the tongue.
You can take a closer look at the Stone Island x New Balance Made in UK 991v2 collaboration above — which comes packed in co-branded and custom packaging — and it’ll be available to shop exclusively via the official Stone Island website and in select Stone Island stores from October 4.
The collaboration will also be available in China in select Stone Island stores and via WeChat Store from October 9 and available globally on the official New Balance website on October 18.
