If it’s one thing that binds Birkenstock and Tekla Fabrics together, it is their focus on comfort. With that in mind the joining of force between the two labels to create a limited edition collection of footwear and sleepwear seems right on track.
Together, Birkenstock and Tekla‘s most recent collaborative collection takes inspiration from dream-like states that feed creativity. The footwear pieces are elevated takes on Birkenstock’s most iconic silhouettes. The collection also appears to take inspiration from Japanese Zen. The Powder Uji is a double strapped Birkenstock sandal, constructed beige suede, matching the soft, fleece lining to give the sandal an added layer of comfort. The same fleece lining is seen for the Boston Mule-inspired clogs that sport the same beige suede velcro strap and base. Both pairs also come in a mauve purple colorway that sees the base constructed with purple suede and the inner lining in a dark purple shade as well as a navy and black.
As for the apparel collection, it is all about comfortable loungwear. Outfitted in Tekla’s distinct striped pattern, the pieces include shorts, kaftans, pants, long-sleeved shirts and more. The colors available match that of the Birkenstock portion, arriving in beige, mauve, navy and black. Stay tuned for the Birkenstock/Tekla launch.
In case you missed it, Drake’s OVO has partnered with NCAA colleges for a limited edition collaboration.
