Drake, LeBron James, Devin Booker and Damian Lillard have all sat in Vince Garcia’s chair for a haircut and a side of chopping it up. But experienced and esteemed barber Garcia is so much more than his lengthy roster of celebrity clients and NBA superstars – for one, he’s just signed on as Dior Sauvage‘s first-ever Grooming Ambassador.

Toronto native Garcia got his start in Los Angeles, after learning the tricks of the trade directly from his childhood barber. “I moved [to LA] at 23, with a bag of clippers and a book of dreams,” Garcia elaborates.

“Being in the industry for little over 20 years, I would have never imagined becoming the first U.S. Ambassador for Dior Grooming. I am beyond blessed for the opportunity to be able to share my expertise and work with the Dior team to educate the Sauvage Grooming ritual,” Garcia shared in a recent Instagram post.

Other notable clients who entrust Garcia with their lineups and fades include Travis Kelce, Victor Cruz, Ludacris and Fabolous. Garcia also stars on James’ HBO show THE SHOP, which engulfs viewers in the authentic barbershop ambiance, fit with boyish banter and genuine conversation. “It is more than just the art of barbering. People say barbers are therapists as well. We pretty much take care of everyone.”

Dior’s “CONVERSATION WITH A BARBER” video also lets viewers in to the intimate barbershop experience, as we watch Garcia intricately shape up a client as he speaks to the camera. “When I opened up my shop, I wanted it to be welcoming to everyone, a safe space,” he explains. “I don’t even feel like me cutting hair is work … I’m excited to hear what my clients got going on. It’s that connection. That’s what brings me joy.”

As for what else Dior is up to – the fashion house recently partnered with rapper IDK to style students under No Label Academy.
