Tekla Draws Inspiration from Le Corbusier for Third Blanket Collection
Tapping colors from later in the architect’s life.
Tekla is again looking to Le Corbusier‘s color palettes for its latest cozy collection of mohair blankets. Marking the third time the Copenhagen-based lifestyle label has partnered with LesCouleurs Suisse AG, the new offering boasts four striking new colorways derived directly from colors showcased across one of Le Corbusier’s architectural projects.
The blankets come in colorways inspired by the following shades pulled from the modernist architect’s Architectural Polychromy palette: Vert Anglais 32040, Rouge Rubia 32101, Orange Vif 4320S and Le Jaune Vif 4320W. Crafted by hand and entirely out of Spain’s finest fabrics, each blanket was finished with handmade tassels and extra-brushed in order to maximize its mohair comfort. The array of deep hues – in green, red, orange, and yellow – are evocative of the color scheme portrayed in Le Corbusier’s Le Cabanon, the wooden cabin in which he spent the last years of his life. Have a closer look at the blankets in the gallery below.
The Le Corbusier-inspired Tekla collection is available now to purchase on Tekla’s webstore, as well as Tekla Copenhagen and selected retail stores, for $745 USD.
