Nando's 'Mix It Up Vol. 2' EP Merges Amapiano With British Brilliance
Working with Bridges for Music, Nando’s enlists K-Trap, Kojey Radical, Lost Girl, and Niko B for a four-track collaboration project.

The UK’s favorite peri-peri chicken restaurant, Nando’s, has teamed up with Bridges for Music, a non-profit organization empowering communities and individuals through education and the power of music, for the presentation of Mix It Up Vol. 2, a four-track EP that brings together four UK and South African artists for unique amapiano collaborations.
Following up on its debut edition from last year — which featured Berwyn, Bru-C, Mira May, and M1llionz — this year’s Mix It Up edition was once again overseen by Major League DJz, whose knowledge of the buttons helped direct this cross-continental release.
Now, this latest release from Nando’s and Bridges for Music features several of the UK’s finest, with K-Trap, Kojey Radical, Lost Girl, and Niko B being joined by South African producers, LuuDaDeejay, Dinho, Mathandos, MFR Souls, and vocalist, Makhanj. The collective has come together to merge musical elements, with two-step-worthy amapiano productions laying solid foundations for a slew of UK rap, R&B, and UK drill rhymes and melodies.
The project was created across the Nando’s Flame Studios in South Africa and London, with the inspiration behind the project being fuelled by a trip across South Africa for each of the featured artists. This allowed the UK contributors to immerse themselves in the culture that created amapiano while understanding the intricate details that allowed them to bring their unique UK flavors to the table.
