Casablanca Moves to Paris Fashion Week Womenswear Schedule for SS24
Following several controversial runways, the brand is scheduled to present on October 1 at 4:30 p.m. local time.

Charaf Tajer‘s Casablanca has placed itself in a controversial light during past Fashion Week seasons, seeing the French brand use real horses as props for Spring/Summer 2023 and tone-deaf inspirations for Fall/Winter 2023. Casablanca hopes to redeem itself this season, moving its staple co-ed show to Paris Fashion Week‘s womenswear schedule.
Casablanca will debut its Spring/Summer 2024 collection on October 1 at 4:30 p.m. local time, growing its presence in womenswear. The historically menswear-focused label has naturally gravitated toward new markets in recent seasons, constantly showing co-ed collections that expand on the brand’s preppy identity. “I have always had a desire to conquer womenswear, and now feels like the perfect time to graduate confidently into this space. We are going to the big league,” says founder and Creative Director Charaf Tajer.
FW23 saw Casablanca take inspiration from Syrian refugees while presenting a collection grounded in luxurious travel motifs and Los Angeles party glam. It seemed out of touch with the pain experienced by Syrians today and was heavily criticized for its disrespectful communication. We hope Casablanca changes its ways for SS24, but only time will tell.
