Tommy Hilfiger Taps Supervsn Studios for a Capsule Collection Celebrating American Multiculturalism
Featuring nine oversized pieces donning bold statements and all-new logos.
Tommy Hilfiger has partnered with LA-based creative collective Supervsn Studios for a capsule collection that looks to champion the creativity behind next-generation voices. Titled “Tommy x Supervsn,” the collaboration lauds both labels’ community-driven roots through a “Tapestry of Americana,” highlighting the multiculturalism rooted in American fashion.
Supervsn founder Gavin Mathieu established his business to amplify creative ideas from underrepresented communities through thought-provoking product development, content creation and experiences. Hilfiger, who similarly founded a cultural hub through his first store, People’s Place, initially connected with Matthieu through Instagram.
“I’ll never forget the day I got a DM from Tommy (himself) just telling me how much he liked the brand and the products,” Mathieu told Hypebeast. “We kept in touch for a few months, and then one day, he came by my studio to meet in person and presented the idea of a collab to me.”
“I grew up wearing Tommy Hilfiger; he’s an American Fashion Icon,” he added. “Once I learned how he started in fashion, I realized that we had a lot in common. We both opened our retail stores to promote and amplify the works of our creative friends. We both have a solid love for community building and aspire to inspire people to dream BIG with our brands. Through this collaboration, I knew I could create something that would mean something to my community.”

Adding to that, Hilfiger said, “Supervsn gives me great hope for the future by empowering diverse creatives. We are proud to make a collection fueled by community and determined optimism.”
The collection itself includes nine oversized, washed-out silhouettes, reflective of Los Angeles lifestyles. Among them, shorts enlist a mixture of camos and tie-dye, while T-shirts and French terry hoodies offer up a remixed version of the traditional Tommy logo to represent the Pan-African flag. Elsewhere, workwear jackets don more familiar TH iconography, and a selection of tops boast the statement “Trust The VSN, Not The Algorithm,” encouraging people to rely on their creative processes.
The “Tommy x Supervsn” collection will launch on July 10 in select Tommy Jeans stores and on both Tommy Hilfiger and Supervsn’s webstores. Take a look at the range in the gallery above.
