Pharrell Williams' Louis Vuitton Debut Show Garnered Over 1 Billion Views
Following the show, Louis Vuitton cracked three million subscribers on YouTube.
Pharrell Williams‘ Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2024 debut was a certified hit.
His menswear collection which was shown on Pont Neuf in Paris, broke records and garnered 775 million views from around the world on Louis Vuitton’s own platforms. The additional 300 million video views were recorded on various press accounts as the world’s biggest celebrities also made their way to sit front row to support P and his debut. Celebrities included JAY-Z, who performed post-show for guests, Beyoncé, Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Zendaya, Kim Kardashian and more.
To put this into perspective, the previous Fall/Winter 2023 show, which featured KidSuper as the collaborative designer Rosalía as the performer, garnered 441 million views on LV’s platform. Pharrell’s debut also generated a large volume of organic posts and online discussion, with 42,000 original posts mentioning the show and over 1.2 million re-tweets. On YouTube, Louis Vuitton cracked three million subscribers to its account, making it the most followed luxury brand on the platform. The YouTube video of the show saw the short film gain 15 million views. With the growing numbers in following, it comes as no surprise that Louis Vuitton continues to be an influential force and with Pharrell at the helm of the menswear division, it appears that LV will continue to grow in popularity.
