KidSuper and Barnsley FC Team Up for Unexpected Jersey Collaboration
Creating a new home, away, and third kits.

Colm Dillane, the founder of the unconventional menswear label, KidSuper has teamed up with English Football League One side Barnsley FC to design the club’s kits for the upcoming 2023/24 season.
As football and fashion continue to cross over like never before, some moves have been somewhat expected. For example, the likes of AC Milan has connected with Off-White, Paris Saint-Germain has worked in collaboration with 3.PARADIS and Drama Call has linked up with Manchester United. However, KidSuper’s collaboration with Barnsley is one the world didn’t expect, as Colm Dillane continues to unveil elaborate and non-conventional presentations.
With this in mind, Dillane’s latest creation — which comes following his work with Louis Vuitton for Paris Fashion Week Men’s — sees his self-started KidSuper label connect with PUMA, Barnsley’s kit manufacturer, to create a home, away, and third jersey for the Northern England-based club.
The new kits draw inspiration from the rich history of Barnsley FC, with the design process beginning with an in-depth exploration of the club’s badge, previous jerseys, and overall heritage. However, as a whole, the new home jersey shows vast similarities to Barnsley’s “Shaw Carpets” kit from the 1989/1990 season.
Additionally, the new kits integrate Barnsley’s traditional colors of red, white, and black, while speckles of gold are used to symbolize the stars of Barnsley.
