But did Dave Free tease a pgLang x Chanel collaboration while attending the House’s Couture Fall 2023 show with Lamar?
It’s no secret that Kendrick Lamar is arguably the best-dressed man of the moment, having worked with UK greats like Martine Rose and shouting her out alongside Wales Bonner in his song “The Hillbillies.” Now, the multihyphenate is taking his looks to the next level, stunting in a full Chanel outfit upon attending the House’s Fall 2023 Paris Couture Week fashion show alongside Dave Free of pgLang — but more on that later.
Lamar’s fit in question consists of Chanel 2022/23 “Métiers d’art” items, notably a pair of black and white monogram and rose-motif flared jeans, a signature tweed jacket in white with encrusted buttons, a cotton baseball cap covered in a silk Chanel scarf, a pair of big “CC” logo brown tortoiseshell sunglasses, and a large fine jewelry pearl necklace.
In addition to Lamar, we find Dave Free wearing an American baseball shirt in a classic black and white palette, sporting “Program Language” branding and a variety of Chanel brooches. It is this, paired with the Chanel hanger, that is leading many to believe this might be a pgLang x Chanel collaboration.
