Gucci, Versace, Dior, Louis Vuitton, CELINE, Saint Laurent, and now Demna‘s Balenciaga — it seems the biggest brands in the world just can’t get enough of Los Angeles, California.

This is not the first time Demna has taken Balenciaga stateside, having presented the House’s adidas-packed Spring 2023 runway show at the New York Stock Exchange, subsequently filling the trading desks with gimp mask-clad models and couture sportswear.

Per WWD, the show will be in held in LA on December 2. This means Balenciaga will be showcasing its Fall 2024 men’s and women’s co-ed runway collection, three months after it’s set to take to Paris Fashion Week per the norm, where the glitterati will catch its Summer 2024 debut.

While heading to LA is nothing new, it is a switch up from Balenciaga’s previous ventures. Subverting the NYSE made total sense in 2022, a time before the House’s widespread controversy. Likewise, channeling the sophistication of its Parisian couture space at 10 Avenue George V also makes equal amounts of sense today as the brand looks to move away from gimmicks.
