adidas and Ajax have just presented their new home jersey for the 2023/24 season and it sees the duo reference Dutch tailoring throughout.

Ajax has been the most decorated club in Dutch football for some time now, picking up 36 league titles and four European cups in its iconic block red and white home strip. This new Ajax jersey follows the same color scheme, and it even takes things back to the 70s, with the inclusion of a centralized club crest.

The Ajax crest is a symbol of a Greek mythological hero of the same name — it uses 11 lines to represent the squads’s starting 11 and stands as a reference to the team’s power on the pitch.

Now, Ajax’s new jersey uses the same reference points. The Dutch super club consistently plays in jerseys that are similar to the campaign before, and this kit for the new season is more of the same. It’s hit with a bold red stripe through the center of the shirt, while white tailored detailing is then applied to the neckline and sleeve cuffs.

Meanwhile, Amsterdam’s iconic St Andrew’s cross is featured in the center of the shirt, as well as on the sleeves alongside the club’s Ziggo sponsor.

You can check out the new Ajax jersey above and it is available to shop via the club’s official website now.
